Abstract:The monoculture of crops often leads to outbreaks of plant diseases. The use of agrobiodiversity to solve this key problem has been a long-term research hotspot in the field of plant protection all around the world. In this review, the efficacy and mechanisms of using agrobiodiversity to control diseases were summarized, and some cases of disease management via increasing genetic, species and ecosystem diversity levels were introduced, aiming to provide more insights for the development of strategies for sustainable management of crop diseases.
